"We have used ChoicePoint for about 18
months to complete criminal record background checks on each finalist for all of our positions before
offering employment.
A long time volunteer in one of our senior centers was selected as a finalist as
Director of that center. On the employment application, she said she had never been convicted of a crime.
The ChoicePoint check revealed five pages of felony convictions including theft from a 80 year old in her
care.
Needless to say, we did not hire her, and we
immediately dismissed her as a volunteer in our senior center. We are now considering using ChoicePoint to
